Ride to Somerville — October 1, 2006
 
 

We kicked off October with an early fall ride to Somerville. Did I say "fall"? At 93 degrees it was hard to tell! The day began with breakfast at Denny's. From there we ran some back roads in the general direction of Bellville, then cut off to the north through Chappell Hill to Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park. After browsing the park and a quick "photo-op" we took in scenic La Bahia Road. Next was lunch in Somerville at the Country Inn.   After lunch we rode over the dam at Somerville Lake for a nice view, then headed through the rolling hills and curves south of the lake. Eventually we wound our way back through Industry and Bellville and back towards Houston.   The pictures below were taken during our stop at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park.
