Ride to Fayetteville — August 20, 2006

Any day that starts with a real, live 916 (thanks Simon) and ends with seeing "Loris the Lion" blow away the field in MotoGP, well, is a pretty good Ducati day! We managed to sandwich a little riding in between and for one day, all was good in Ducati-land. Six of us met up in Katy for breakfast at the loveley IHOP and five rode onward to Fayetteville with only a couple (at least admitted) wrong turns mixed in.

The ride was sunny and full of graceful sweepers and small, tiny roads that only a Multistrada could love. No one fell off and it really ended up being a fun ride. We made it up to Orsak's around noon, had a cold beverage and headed back to town on a slightly different route.

Kevin "the Lion" gets the IronButt award for driving 93 miles -- just to get to the IHOP! He ended up putting a lot of miles on the 'ole Paul Smart this day...

Thanks to David H. for setting up and leading this ride, and for this retrospective.
